Reasons why the air-energy water heater does not start

Sep 23, 2024

As an emerging category of water heaters, air-energy water heaters have become a new favorite of consumers in recent years. However, during use users, occasionally encounter situations where the air-energy water heater does not start. Motherboard failure, refrigerant leakage, etc. may cause this situation.

Causes why the air-energy water heater does not start
Reason 1: Motherboard failure
The motherboard of the air-energy water heater is loose, poorly welded, or burned, which may cause the unit to fail to start due to a lack of power supply.
Reason 2: Refrigerant leakage
The main reason for the refrigerant leakage of the air-energy water heater is that the pressure of the circulating system increases, exceeding the pressure range of the refrigerant circulation pipeline. Once the refrigerant leaks, the air-energy water heater will be paralyzed due to a lack of energy transportation.
Reason 3: System blockage
The system of the air-energy water heater runs 24 hours a day, and dirty blockage and ice blockage may occur, making the unit unable to perform heat exchange, resulting in the air-energy water heater failing to start.
Reason 4: Damage to the compressor
The compressor is the heart of the air-energy water heater. If the heart stops, the unit will naturally fail to operate.
Reason 5: Fan damage
The fan is the key to ensuring the heat exchange of the air-energy water heater evaporator. The main reasons for the fan not turning are that the fan blades are stuck, there is no output voltage, the fan capacitor is damaged, the fan is damaged, etc. If the fan does not turn, the air-energy water heater cannot perform heat exchange and cannot start running.
Reason 6: Fault reporting
If the air-energy water heater fails and a fault code is found on the display screen, the user needs to take different treatment measures according to different fault codes.
