Reasons why the water from air-energy heat pumps is not hot
Dec 20, 2024
As the country pays more and more attention to new energy, the new generation of heating and heating equipment, air-energy heat pumps, are becoming more and more well-known.
Four major reasons why the water from air-energy heat pumps is not hot.
1. Insufficient refrigerant in the heat pump
Refrigerant is what we commonly call refrigerant, which is the key substance for air-energy water heaters to heat. To complete heating, air-energy water heaters must use refrigerant as an intermediate medium to continuously absorb heat from the air. However, air-energy heat pumps have been used for a long time and there may be refrigerant leakage. Once the amount of refrigerant is reduced, the heating capacity of the equipment will naturally decrease, which will lead to a significant drop in the temperature of the hot water. The solution is very simple, contact after-sales personnel to replenish the refrigerant.
2. Excessive scale accumulation
Because the various components of the air-energy heat pump are in a hot water environment for a long time, it is easy to accumulate scale. The scale contains various complex components, and the thermal conductivity is not high. It accumulates in large quantities in the hot water system and occupies the space originally belonging to hot water. As a result, the heating effect of the air-energy heat pump is significantly attenuated. The solution is to contact the technicians and clean the air-energy heat pump equipment regularly.
3. The equipment installation work is not done well
As the name implies, the air-energy heat pump needs to absorb the heat in the air to heat. Therefore, although it does not need to consume coal and natural gas, it also needs more attention in the installation location. Under normal circumstances, it is recommended that the air-energy heat pump be installed in a location with good air circulation, such as a balcony, an outdoor air-conditioning position, an outdoor platform, etc. These locations not only have strong air circulation but also suitable air temperatures, which are more conducive to the heat absorption and heating of the air-energy heat pump.
4. Too much dirt on the evaporator fins
Since it is possible to accumulate dirt inside the water system, the evaporator fins of the air-energy water heater that is directly in contact with the outside world are also the same. The air-energy water heater needs to contact the air through the evaporator fins to absorb the heat energy in the air. Generally speaking, the larger the contact area between the evaporator fins and the air, the better the overall heating effect of the equipment. However, in the long-term working process, dust, hair, and other substances in the air may cover the fins, affecting the heating of the air energy. So how should it be cleaned? It's very simple. Turn off the water heater, spray the corresponding cleaning agent on the evaporator fins, wipe it clean from top to bottom with a rag, and finally rinse it with clean water.
