Air Source Heat Pump

Mar 11, 2024

Principle
During the operation of an air source heat pump, the evaporator absorbs heat from the environmental heat energy in the air to evaporate the heat transfer working fluid. The working fluid vapor is compressed by the compressor, and the pressure and temperature rise. When the high-temperature vapor passes through a specially designed annular tube bonded to the outer surface of the water storage tank, the condenser condenses into a liquid, transferring heat to the water in the air source heat pump water storage tank.
Heat pump working fluid
The heat transfer working fluid of an air source heat pump is a special substance with a boiling point of minus 40 ℃ and a freezing point of minus 100 ℃ under normal pressure. When it is cold, it is a liquid, but it is easily evaporated into gas, and vice versa. In actual operation, the maximum evaporation temperature of the heat transfer working fluid in an air source heat pump is around minus 20 ℃. Therefore, an ambient temperature of 5 ℃ is also "hot" for such low temperatures, and even temperatures that snow, such as 0 ℃, are relatively hot. Therefore, some heat energy can still be exchanged.
