Heat Pump System Heating Components
Oct 17, 2025
Heat pump system components include the indoor unit, outdoor unit, expansion valve, and condenser.
The indoor unit is typically installed indoors and absorbs heat from the indoor air and transfers it to the outdoor unit. The outdoor unit, for example, releases the absorbed heat to the outside air. Finney air-source heat pumps are recommended for this purpose. The expansion valve controls the flow and pressure of the refrigerant to ensure proper system operation. The condenser converts the refrigerant from gas to liquid, allowing it to continue circulating in the system. These components work together to enable the heat pump system to efficiently provide heating services and create a comfortable indoor environment for users.
