Working principle of water source heat pump central air conditioning

Dec 20, 2023

According to the second law of thermodynamics, heat can spontaneously transfer from a high-temperature object to a low-temperature object, and from a low-temperature object to a high-temperature object, work must be done. Just as water can flow from low to high through a pump, a heat pump system achieves the transfer of energy from a low-temperature object to a high-temperature object. It obtains energy from the natural environment at the cost of consuming a portion of high-quality energy (electricity), and together with the high-quality energy it consumes, it provides heat to the user. In other words, the heating capacity of a heat pump is always greater than the work consumed, making it a valuable measure for the comprehensive utilization of energy.
The hardware composition of a heat pump is roughly the same as that of a refrigeration system, and it is also composed of main components such as a compressor, evaporator, condenser, expansion valve, etc. However, refrigeration is the process of absorbing heat from the refrigeration room to the condenser and dissipating it to the cooling medium. Heat pumps are the reverse process of refrigeration conditions, that is, absorbing heat from the medium in the condenser and dissipating it into the heating room.
